Submitting a response

Rebuttal prepares the case; the final click is always yours, inside Shopify's own dispute form. The flow:

  1. Open the dispute in Rebuttal and review the generated package. The on-screen version renders formatted for reading.
  2. Click Copy for dispute form. This copies a clean plain-text version — formatted for pasting into Shopify's text fields, with image URLs listed plainly.
  3. Click Open dispute in Shopify. This takes you to the order in your Shopify admin, where the dispute response form lives.
  4. Paste the evidence into the form, attach any files you want to add (carrier proof-of-delivery PDFs, customer emails), and submit through Shopify.
  5. Back in Rebuttal, click Mark as submitted. The dispute moves to Submitted and the deadline is recorded as met.

Why this workflow: your response to a chargeback is one-shot — there's no second submission if something goes out wrong. Rebuttal is built so nothing leaves without your eyes on it.
