Automation rules

By default, every new dispute is held for your review. If you want Rebuttal to prepare evidence ahead of you, add routing rules.

A rule matches on the dispute reason (e.g. product_not_received), an amount threshold (e.g. under $50), or both, and does one of two things:

  • Hold for review — the default behavior, made explicit.
  • Auto-prepare — Rebuttal generates the evidence package immediately, so it's waiting in Prepared when you open the queue.

Rules run in the order you created them; the first match wins; anything unmatched is held. Auto-prepare never auto-submits — no rule can send anything to a bank. That's by design, not a missing feature.
